How To Change Company Registered Address

How To Change Company Registered Address

If your company has moved to a new office, changed its business activities, or will be relocating the register of members*, you must inform ACRA of these updates.

This guide explains how to change your company registered address step by step.

What is a Registered Office Address?

A registered office address is the official address of your company recorded with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA). It is where all official correspondence and legal documents are sent.

If you’re using a home address but want a more professional setup, you may also consider a Virtual Office in Singapore to enhance your company image.

Steps to Change Company Registered Address

To make these changes:

  1. log in to BizFile
  2. Go to File eServices > Local Company > Make Changes.
  3. complete, and submit the form titled “Change in Company Information including Appointment/Cessation of Company Officers/Auditors”
  4. Submit the online form

Note: The update must be filed within 14 days of the change.

Is it Free to Change my Company Registered Address?

Yes, there is no filing fee, but the update must be made within 14 days of the change to avoid a late filing penalty. You can read more about penalties on ACRA’s enforcement page.

Important Note for Older Companies

*For companies incorporated before January 3, 2016, it was required to keep hard copy records of shareholders (members). Though these records didn’t need to be shared with ACRA, companies had to declare where they were stored. This rule no longer applies to companies incorporated after January 3, 2016, which are required to maintain an electronic register under the amended Companies Act.
